Warren County Ohio, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Purpose:

  1. To provide training to enable individuals and families to be well prepared for emergenices, minimizing injury and hardship.
  2. To assist State, County and Local Emergency Services in any emergency.

Origin:

The CERT concept was developed and implemented by the Los Angeles City Fire Department in 1985. FEMA made it a National program in 1993 filling the need for training civilians to meet their immediate needs.
