August 27, 2024: Warren County Ohio CERT Team Meeting provided refresher training on Psychological First Aid
  • Crisis survivors can go through a variety of emotional phases, and as a rescuer, you should be aware of what you may encounter. When there are physical hazards or family separations during the evacuation process, survivors often experience post-traumatic reactions
  • Skills such as listen, protect and connect can be invaluable.
August 17 & 18, 2024: Cleanup, Tornado Aftermath
  • The Warren County Ohio CERT team was requested to provide manpower to assist American Regulators in some post tornado clean-up near Blanchester Ohio. A barn that was damaged during the tornado collapsed recently and working together we were able to clear the land so the family could move forward to plant grass, build anew etc.
  • Wood was reclaimed, metal recycled, memento's saved, trash removed and residual wood burned.
  • In the end, Mission Accomplished!
  • Data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration shows that, so far in 2024, Ohio has recorded 38 total tornado reports, the most of any state. (April 19, 2024)
  • This was a marked increase from last year, which during the same time period (January 1st through April 18th) Ohio had 25 reported tornadoes.
